Musically Illustrated Talks

For several years I have entertained (and perhaps even educated) people with various themed talks on aspects of the Jazz Age. These talks generally take place at community centres or places of adult learning. Many of my audiences have been WI and U3A groups in Oxfordshire and beyond. I have also run workshops in schools with some of my jazz colleagues. I currently have around a dozen talks which are listed below. Since 2015, I have given recitals wherein I take on the persona of the great Harlem stride piano master Willie "The Lion" Smith. These performances have been hugely popular, containing a lot of humour and piano pyrotechnics.
